
Combined Hand Surgery / Therapy Clinics
Handworks is pleased to have two well respected Hand Surgeons running clinics through their rooms. These clinics serve the purpose of providing accessible, onsite Specialist consultations for hand patients, and also allow close liaison between hand surgeon and hand therapist regarding rehabilitation and post op care.

Murray Beagley - MB ChB FRACS(Plast) Dip Hand Surg.(Euro)
Murray is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Middlemore and directs the Congenital Hand Service at Starship Hospital. He trained fully in New Zealand graduating from Otago University with MBChB and undertook advanced surgical training in plastic surgery, gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2000.
Murray spent three years of advanced post-graduate training in the UK working in world renowned centres: Frenchay Hospital, St Andrew's Centre, Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Wellington Hospital.
During his time in Europe, Murray gained the Gold Medal for being the best candidate in the European Diploma in Hand Surgery (2002).

Bruce Peat - MB ChB 1982 (auck) FRACS (Plast) 1988
Bruce Peat is Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Middlemore and works privately through Eastcare Specialist Centre (Botany) and our clinic.
