Lauren joined the Handworks team in 2020. Since graduating from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy, she has been working at Middlemore Hospital through the rotation scheme and then taking the role of a senior Occupational therapist within the Burns, Plastics and Paediatrics team. This has increased her knowledge and experiences for hand burns, scar assessment and scar management. After Lauren’s undergraduate study of Occupational Therapy, she has completed her postgraduate Certificate in Rehabilitation at the University of Otago. She is currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation at AUT.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys oil painting and spending time with her family and friends.
